it's SO annoying....I actually had taken 3 pictures but for some reason only one showed up in my storytelling thing, oh well. This is a new guy I just
made. I have no custom content cuz it wont work on Vista I'm assuming, I tried some and all they did were crash the game

That could be the problem itself, Visa. I donno except maybe some of the latest expansions that Sims2 is for Vista. Although, Cat uses
Vista. Judd should come see this. He always seems to have the answers.

As far as it being a Vista problem, it is and it isn't. What I mean is, its most likely your graphics card drivers for Vista. What video card do you have?
Make sure you have the latest drivers for it. Also you may need to update sims. http://thesims2.ea.com/update/

I've never had that problem, and I have Vista. It's probably just your graphics card.

I've downloaded all the patches from sims2.com, and the graphics card should be fine, this computer is supposedly a "gaming" computer.
Hmmmmm.....
Processor - AMD Turion 64 x2 Mobile Technology TL-58 1.90GHZ Memory - 2GB Graphics - ATI Radeon X1200

Judd'll know what to do with that information.

Er... Radeon X1200 is absolutely not a gaming GPU. The person that told you that is a
"gaming laptop" is sorely, sorely mistaken. Sorry to say it
Did this glitch just start happening? Have you been playing Sims fine on this computer up until just recently? |

Well he said it would run the Sims 2 and uhhh....Fable I think Eric has, just fine. I think the next model up was the actual gaming computer, but since we dont
normally play games on the computer we went with this one cuz it saved us quite a chunk of change, and all I cared about was my sims!!
And no, it's been doing it I believe. But it didn't used to start until I'd had it on for hours, so I wondered if it was just getting too warm cuz the laptop gets pretty hot sometimes. But now it does it right when I start it up pretty much

It's definitely possible that the GPU is overheating. Try playing it with the laptop plugged in, as it should run cooler than if its running off the
battery. Or is that how you normally play it anyway?
